ご挨拶

私たちの始まりは、渋谷松濤の小さな部屋から。

2010年、ハンドメイド・マーケットプレイスが登場した年に、前身となる一般社団法人日本手芸協会を設立。

当時「手芸」はバザーで販売するような安価な物というイメージが強く、その払拭のために「ハンドメイド」という言葉で呼ばるようになりました。そして、Creema、minneといったプラットフォームの登場により物作りは一気に広がり、誰もが参加できる時代に。

その中で私たちは、百貨店クオリティという基準で、上質な作品を正当な価値で提供することに挑み続けてきました。

「作品」という物だけではなく、作り手の背景や想い、唯一無二のときめきを社会につなぎ、未来へと橋渡ししていくこと。

これまでの多くの方々との出会い、そして、培ってきた知見とネットワークを活かし、日本の手芸を The Shugei として世界へ広げ、社会に新しい価値を届けてまいります。

Message

Our journey began in a small room in Shoto, Shibuya.

In 2010, at the dawn of the handmade marketplace era, we established the Japan Handicraft Association, the forerunner of our company today.

At that time, handicrafts were often perceived as inexpensive items, relegated to community bazaars.

To elevate this image, the term “handmade” gained traction. With the rise of platforms like Creema and minne, the act of making blossomed into a widespread movement, becoming an activity accessible to all.

Amidst this evolution, we have consistently challenged ourselves to present creations that reflect department-store quality, bringing forth refined works and ensuring they are valued appropriately.

Beyond the objects themselves, we are dedicated to communicating their narrative—the passion of each maker and the singular spark of delight they bring. We believe in connecting these stories to society and carrying them into the future.

Drawing on the expertise and networks we have cultivated, we are committed to introducing Japanese handicrafts to the world as “The Shugei”, and in doing so, delivering new value to society.

代表者プロフィール

平林理恵
東京都生まれ。

大学卒業後、イギリス留学および欧米での遊学を経て、外資系商社に入社。

その後、他領域の協会運営を通じて文化普及を学び、2010年に「日本手芸協会」を設立。

以降、講座やイベントの企画・監修、商品やキットの開発、関連および新規参入企業へのコンサルティング、協会設立のサポートなど、手芸・クラフト分野における多岐にわたる業務を手がける。

三越カルチャーサロン講座（2014～）、新宿伊勢丹オトマナ（2015～2019）、伊勢丹手藝ローンチ（2021～2023）、日本ホビーショー主催者エリア（2023～）、三越伊勢丹グループ手芸催事（2025～）の企画他、手芸分野の既存および新規参入企業のコンサルティングに携わる。
